This blog evolved from my experiences in the corporate world. Starting from the ground up in the financial industry has given me insight on how to plan a career, much like you would plan for your first marathon. 

 
I didn't go to college and really didn't have a conventional upbringing. Learning everything I know by trial and error was harder than it needed to be. As I have shared my story over the years, I learned that I am not the only one having difficulty navigating a career. If you don't have the proper tools, shoes or mindset, achieving your goals can be tougher than you expected. 

As a visitor here, you are part of an uplifting group of women who want to learn, share and collaborate with like-minded individuals. Comments, constructive feedback and tricks of the trade are welcomed. We are joining forces with one another to achieve our goal of finishing the marathon, that is our career.
